Can I email you anonymously?
LifeLine's email counselling service is confidential. We will not disclose
your name or email to anyone. If you wanted further anonymity you could
create a free anonymous email address specifically for contacting us.
To create a new email address visit a service like... www.yahoo.co.nz
or www.hotmail.com.
Will my messages always be answered by
the same person?
No. A different counsellor may reply to each of your emails. Typically
each individual counsellor replies to email once every two weeks. However
each email counsellor signs off with the name "Chris".
What formats can I use
to e-mail you?
We accept plain or HTML e-mail formats. We do not accept emails with pictures in them or attachments. These are automatically deleted as an anti-spam measure.
How will I know my email has been received
by LifeLine?
Your email to us will generate an auto-response that is sent back to
you immediately acknowledging that we have received your email. This is
then followed by a real response from a volunteer email counsellor within
3 days.
